For me the TP-Link an unknown brand, so I was prepared for this gadget scant 500 would be rubbish. It does get. All the product feels solid, thanks in part to a well-written quick start guide, I was up and running in about 15 minutes. For my needs, ie extend my hemätverk with an access point, the TL-WA901ND a perfect choice. I see no reason to give a lower rating than 10.
Do it properly at a good price.
Took a while before I figured out that you have to walk under the tab "QSS" and select "disable" to configure it manually. Says nothing about it in the manual ie.
Have had the gadget for about 6 months now, and here is my review:
+ Great range and cruel performance. Line of sight I can get atleast 250m range.
+ Have not noticed any dropped connections / hangs / freezes at all.
+ Power over Ethernet injector
+ Monitoring via SNMP
+ Many different modes. You can have up to 4 Vlan (multiSSID), you can use it as a bridge or a network adapter and so on.
+ Quick and fairly simple web interface.
-PoE injector works fine, but one should not have too long network of of poor quality because then the power loss too great to the access point to be powered. (25m does not work for me, even though it is spec'd for 30m)
LAN connection is only 10/100 mbit and it limits the transfer rate between wired and wireless devices on näterket. Had it not been for that I would have given the product a handball tenner!
A very affordable purchase for those who want a powerful and stable AP with many inställningsföjligheter.
Footnote: I have mainly been using the unit with a pair of TP-Link network adapter and various mobile phones
Affordable and good router
